Product Description
Antique Folio Lithographs Published 1830, Paris by Gihaut, for a series of prints of scenes from the 1830 Revolution in France. Pair lithographed on india paper after Nicolas Toussaint Charlet.

Numbered 1 and 3 upper right.

“Combat de la Rue St. Antoine” and “Prise du Palais Royale”. Both with heavy toning to margins, images unaffected.

Two dramatic scenes of insurrection in the streets of Paris, with armed civilians battling soldiers from the National Guard. King Charles X was forced to abdicate and the National Assembly decreed that the Duc d’Orleans should become King Louis-Philippe.
